DEP is used as solvent or vehicle for fragrances in Perfume, as a fixative for manufacturing Agarbatti, in the processing of Cellulose Acetate and as a plasticizer in Plastic Tools. Diethyl Phthalate is a nearly colorless, clear and practically anhydrous liquid with a hardly noticeable odour, which is soluble in most of organic solvents & insoluble in water.
