TEREPHTHALIC ACID PURE
Nearly all purified terephthalic acid (PTA) is consumed in polyester production including polyester fibre, polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottle resin and polyester film. Polyester fibres are used to make fabrics for apparel and home furnishings such as bed sheets, bedspreads, curtains and draperies.
Store in cool place. Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. It should be stored and used in molten form.
Terephthalic acid is used in paint as a carrier. Terephthalic acid is used as a raw material to make terephthalate plasticizers such as dioctyl terephthalate and dibutyl terephthalate. It is used in the pharmaceutical industry as a raw material for certain drugs.
