Diethylaniline is the organic compound with the molecular formula (C2H5)2NC6H5. It is a colorless liquid but commercial samples are often yellow. It is a precursor to several dyes and other commercial products.

N,N-Dimethylaniline is used as an intermediate in the manufacture of dyes and other substances. Acute (short-term) inhalation exposure to N,N-dimethylaniline has resulted in effects on the central nervous system (CNS) and circulatory system, with headache, cyanosis, and dizziness in humans.
Application. N,N-Diethylaniline was used in one-pot synthesis of oxazol-5(4H)-ones. It was used in the synthesis of azo disperse dyes. It was used to prepare 6′-prenylisoflavone via Claisen rearrangement.
