Mineralite Masonry Cleaner
SKU
RXSOL-15-1101-025
Also known as

Masonry Cleaner, Wall Wash Cleaner, Wall Mineral Cleaner

RXSOL Mineralite Wash is a fast-acting, inhibited mineral cleaner formulated to remove cement haze, mortar/efflorescence, hard water scale, atmospheric grime, and rust streaks from Mineralite (cementitious) plaster, concrete, brick, and stone. The blend of buffered organic and inorganic acids, plus wetting agents and a corrosion inhibitor, gives rapid soil breakdown with reduced fuming and better substrate safety compared to straight mineral acids.

  • Chromate/nitrite free
  • Low-fume vs plain HCl
  • Designed for professional façade cleaning prior to coating or handover
Note

Key Features of RXSOL Mineralite Masonry Wash

  • Works 3–5× faster than non-acidic cleaners on mineral deposits
  • Inhibited to reduce attack on sound cementitious matrices and nearby metals
  • Buffered to improve control and reduce pungent fumes
  • Wetting/dispersing system reduces streaking and re-deposition

Appearance

Clear colorless to light-yellow liquid

Solubility in water

Miscible

pH

Acidic

Areas of Application of RXSOL Mineralite Masonry Wash

  • External Mineralite or cementitious plaster walls
  • Concrete, blocks, bricks, pavers, and most natural stones*
  • Removal of: cement splashes, laitance, efflorescence, atmospheric dirt, rust stains from rebar bleed or fixtures

*Always perform a small patch test; avoid acid-sensitive stones (e.g., limestone/marble/travertine, polished granites)

Use caution / test first: colored renders, architectural finishes, natural stones

Not recommended: polished limestone/marble; galvanized or bare aluminum/zinc surfaces; glass and anodized finishes (mask beforehand)

Do not use if: Substrate is acid-sensitive (e.g., calcareous stones) or has hairline cracks exposing steel. Fresh plaster is <14 days old (risk of uneven etch/whitening). Temperatures are below 5 °C or above 40 °C; or during rain.

Equipments to use: Low-pressure chemical sprayer (acid-resistant), soft brushes, water supply for flooding rinse, wet-vac or controlled runoff capture if required by site EHS.

How to use

A. Surface Preparation
  • Pre-wet the façade thoroughly with clean water (saturate pores; avoid dry suction).
  • Mask/meticulously protect metals, glass, painted/varnished surfaces, landscaping, and drains.

B. Dilution (by volume)
  • Heavy efflorescence/rust/cement bloom: 1 + 1 (1 part product : 1 parts water)
  • Normal deposits/soiling: 1 + 3 to 1 + 8
  • Light maintenance wash: 1 + 10
  • Always add product to water, not water to product. Use plastic containers.

C. Application
  • Apply from bottom-up using low-pressure chemical sprayer or soft acid-resistant brush.
  • Allow 2–5 minutes dwell time. Do not let it dry.
  • Agitate stubborn areas with a soft brush.
  • Rinse copiously from top-down with fresh water until runoff is clear.
  • Repeat if necessary (light second pass is common on heavy crusts).
